Artist’s Statement

Official Artist’s Statement:

Through a process I call Imaginature, I explore the interplay between representation and abstraction. At times, my photographs capture the world as it is – sharp, clear, and recognizable – inviting viewers to connect directly with familiar forms. At other times, I use intentional camera movement to create dynamic abstractions, reimagining environments as dreamlike landscapes. Together, these approaches allow me to navigate both the literal and the lyrical.

The work progresses as I select single photographs to transform into kaleidoscopic patterns, invoking rhythm, symmetry, and repetition. This technique produces seemingly limitless variations that echo the fluidity of nature and the geometry of architecture. By layering images and exposing different elements, I develop complex yet unified compositions.

My art spans multiple mediums, from large-scale installations integrated into architectural spaces to digital motion pieces where image and sound merge to shape immersive environments.

Whether still or in motion, my Imaginature artforms present enduring visual experiences and the infinite possibilities that emerge between representation and abstraction.
